Here’s everything you need to know about the boat, the journey, and how to make the most of your trip to Nusa Lembongan.

The Trip Experience
Travel Duration:

The journey from Bali to Nusa Lembongan covers approximately 15 kilometres and takes around 30 minutes, depending on sea conditions.

Best Time of Day to Travel:
  • Mornings often offer calmer seas before the afternoon winds pick up.
  • While not guaranteed, earlier departures generally provide a smoother experience.
Departure & arrival information
Check-in process
  • Check-in at the Setia Fast Ferry Sanur office 45 minutes prior to your departure.
  • Our porters will take and load your check-in baggage to the boat.
  • You will be transported from our office to the harbour via a buggy.
  • Your QR code boarding pass is your ticket.
  • The terminal has seating and restrooms.
  • Boarding is via a fixed jetty, so no getting your feet wet.
  • Relax until your ferry is called for boarding.
  • Our crew will guide you from the terminal to the boat.
On arrival
  • Our ferry arrives in the bay of Jungutbatu Beach, the island’s main beach.
  • There is no public jetty in Lembongan.
  • Our ferry is moored about 150 metres from shore.
  • You’ll be transferred from the ferry to shore via our shuttle boat.
  • You will be dropped near our office, in front of Whitecorner coffeeshop Lembongan.
  • Our team will take care of all checked baggage and assist you from the shuttle boat to the beach.

NOTE:

On rare occasions, when conditions aren’t suitable for Jungutbatu Beach, we’ll use the sheltered Mangrove area for a safer landing. Our team will let you know if this happens.

Leaving Lembongan
  • Check in at our Lembongan office 30 minutes before departure.
  • As there’s no public jetty in Lembongan, departures are from Jungutbatu Beach.
  • Board our shuttle boat from the shore to reach the ferry (about 150 metres offshore).
  • Our team will take care of all checked baggage and assist you when boarding the ferry.

NOTE:

On rare occasions, when conditions aren’t suitable at Jungutbatu Beach, we’ll depart from the sheltered Mangrove area instead. Our staff will contact you before departure to confirm any changes.

At Sanur Harbour
  • The ferry docks directly at the Sanur Harbour jetty, so no wading through water.
  • Our crew will unload luggage onto the jetty next to the boat.
  • To help us turn the boat around quickly, please collect your luggage. If you need assistance, our crew are happy to help.
  • If you’ve booked a Bali transfer with us, our crew will direct you to your driver.
Seasonal Weather Guide

Dry Season (April to October):

  • Typically calmer seas and less disruption
  • Ideal for a smoother ride
  • Peak season for tourism — book early!

Rainy Season (November to March):

  • Seas can be choppy with more frequent weather-related delays
  • Winds may cause rougher crossings, especially in the afternoon
  • Early morning trips are recommended
Seasickness Support

If you’re prone to motion sickness:

  • Seasickness tablets are available at our reception counter
  • Take one at least 30 minutes before departure
  • Focus on the horizon or keep your eyes outside the boat to help with balance
